Laura Turner
Psychotherapist
About
Laura Turner is a person-centred psychotherapist and has been supporting families and individuals for over a decade in both private practice and community settings in Sydney and the Sutherland Shire. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master’s in Psychotherapy and Counselling. Laura specialises in the perinatal period and beyond, offering tailored support to mothers, partners, and families as they navigate the profound transitions and challenges of parenthood.
Her extensive experience working with children means she is also able to support parents to better understand any challenges their child might be facing and together find ways to support them and their children through difficult times and behaviours. She integrates person-centred therapy with expressive therapies, somatic psychotherapy, ACT, and attachment-based approaches, helping clients connect to a deeper understanding of themselves, and finding ways to build their capacity as they move through life’s challenges.
Laura is also a trained Postpartum doula, and loves the deep honour and care she can provide women and families through the major life transition of becoming parents whether it’s your first or subsequent child.
